I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I am a licensed Elementary Education teacher with 20 years experience and have taught over 500 students ranging in ages from 5-12 in the classroom.
When working with parents and students, I can offer insights and strategies based on my experiences in the classroom, as well as draw from my knowledge of IEPs/504 plans and Conscience Discipline. By serving as a thinking partner, I can help parents and students identify their goals and develop a personalized plan to address their specific needs.
I have seen first hand how difficult it is for students with ADHD and other lacking executive functioning skills in the classroom. Unfortunately, these skills are not always taught explicitly in our education system. My passion for helping children with executive functioning skills evolved when I started seeing the overwhelming need at school.
As an executive functioning coach, I can provide guidance and support to help children develop strategies for managing their time, staying organized, setting goals, and improving their overall executive functioning skills. Additionally, my experience as a teacher and a parent of three children gives me a unique perspective that can greatly benefit my clients. I understand what parents experience as they try to help their child and also have an educators perspective. I would love to talk to you about what coaching can do for your child.
